Francisco Pérez Mackenna is a Chilean economist, businessman, and academic who has been nominated to serve as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of President-elect José Antonio Kast, effective March 2026. A graduate of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the University of Chicago, he built a distinguished career in the private sector, notably serving as CEO of Compañía Cervecerías Unidas and the holding company Quiñenco. He previously led the Chilean Association of Pension Fund Administrators and was formerly affiliated with the National Renewal party.
