Catalina Parot is a Chilean lawyer, entrepreneur, and politician who currently serves as the Minister of National Assets. She previously held this cabinet position during the first presidency of Sebastián Piñera from 2010 to 2012. Throughout her career, she has served as the president of the National Television Council and held leadership roles within the National Renewal and Political Evolution parties. Parot, who has a physical disability due to childhood polio, is recognized as the first woman with reduced mobility to hold a ministerial-level position in Chile. She has also been active in regional politics and served as the Executive Secretary of the Constitutional Convention's Administrative Secretariat in 2021.
