Joseph Lagana is an American attorney and Democratic politician currently serving as a member of the New Jersey Senate, representing the 38th Legislative District since 2018. Before his tenure in the Senate, he served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2014 to 2018 and was a member of the Paramus borough council, where he served as council president. A graduate of Fordham University and Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, Lagana previously worked as a law clerk and as a partner at the law firm Chasan Leyner & Lamparello. In the Senate, he has focused on labor issues, serving as the chair of the Labor Committee.
