Josey Garcia

Josey Garcia is an American politician serving as a member of the Texas House of Representatives for the 124th district since 2023. A veteran of the United States Air Force who served for twenty years, she is the first active-duty woman veteran to serve in the Texas House. Garcia is a cofounder of the non-profit Uniting America Outreach and has focused her legislative career on issues including foster care reform, military sexual violence, and domestic violence accountability. She was recognized as 'Freshman of the Year' by the House Democratic Caucus for her legislative accomplishments during her first session.
