A veteran of the United States Army, he served as a Military Intelligence Officer and later joined the Army Reserves, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel with three foreign deployments, including service in Iraq. Outside of his legislative duties, Bonner is a businessman who manages and brokers commercial assets through his company, Southeast Properties, Inc.
