Juan Carlos Alvarado

Juan Carlos Alvarado is a Venezuelan politician currently serving as a member of the National Assembly of Venezuela. He holds the position of national general secretary for the social-Christian party Copei, following his appointment by the Supreme Tribunal of Justice in 2019. Alvarado is a prominent spokesperson for his party within the Democratic Alliance coalition. While he identifies as an opposition figure, his political stance has drawn scrutiny and accusations of alignment with the government, particularly regarding his support for the re-election of Nicolás Maduro and his public defense of the administration following the 2024 presidential elections.
