Judith Tobaiwa

Profile

Judith Tobaiwa is a Zimbabwean politician serving as the Member of the National Assembly for Kwekwe Central. She made history in 2022 by becoming the first woman to represent the constituency since Zimbabwe's independence in 1980. A former member of the Zimbabwe National Student Union, she previously served as a ward treasurer for the Movement for Democratic Change and as a personal assistant to MP Blessing Chebundo. Tobaiwa is a vocal advocate for economic reform, specifically arguing that the wealth generated from local gold mines should directly benefit the impoverished population rather than political elites.
