Julia Farrugia Portelli

Julia Farrugia Portelli is a Maltese politician and journalist serving as a Member of the House of Representatives and Minister for Inclusion and Social Wellbeing. Affiliated with the Labour Party, she was first elected at the 2017 general election representing the 5th district and subsequently held ministerial portfolios including Tourism and Consumer Protection, as well as Parliamentary Secretary for Reforms, Citizenship and Simplification of Administrative Processes. Throughout her political career, she has been involved in significant legislative initiatives such as implementing the VOTE16 reform and advancing constitutional and human trafficking reforms.
