Owen Bonnici

Owen Bonnici is a Maltese politician who serves as a Member of the House of Representatives and Minister for Accommodation and Lands. Born in May 1980, he has held numerous ministerial portfolios including Justice, Culture and Local Government, Education and Employment, and the National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government. A lawyer by profession, he has spearheaded significant legislative reforms in Malta, such as the Whistleblowers' Act, drug law decriminalization initiatives, party financing regulations, and measures to strengthen the rule of law. He is also a strong advocate for integrating culture and the arts into international policy and environmental initiatives.
