Julie Laernoes

Julie Laernoes is a French-Dutch politician serving as a member of the French National Assembly for the 4th constituency of Loire-Atlantique since 2022. A member of the Europe Ecology – The Greens party, she previously held significant local government roles in Nantes, including municipal councillor and vice-president of Nantes Métropole. Throughout her career, she has been a vocal advocate for environmental policies, opposing projects such as the Notre-Dame-des-Landes airport and the YellowPark stadium. She holds degrees in law and political science from Utrecht University and Sciences Po Paris, and she has been actively involved in legislative work concerning climate transition and end-of-life care.
