Julien Paluku Kahongya is a Congolese politician currently serving as the Minister of Foreign Trade in the Suminwa government since May 2024. Previously, he served as the Minister of Industry from 2019 to 2023 and as the Governor of North Kivu from 2007 to 2019. Throughout his career, he has held various administrative roles, including Mayor of Butembo and Beni. He is the founder of the political party Bloc for the Reconstruction and Emergence of the Congo (BUREC) and holds academic degrees in rural development, community health, and political science.
