Julio Cobos

Julio Cobos is an Argentine politician currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies. A civil engineer by training, he previously served as the Governor of Mendoza from 2003 to 2007 and as the Vice President of Argentina from 2007 to 2011. During his vice presidency, he gained national prominence for casting a tie-breaking vote against a government-backed grain export tax, a move that significantly altered his political trajectory. He has since held various legislative roles, including terms in both the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
