Julio Moltó

Julio Moltó is a Panamanian politician, engineer, and public servant serving as the Minister of Commerce and Industries under the administration of President José Raúl Mulino for the 2024–2029 term. Previously, he built an extensive career in the public sector, including leading the National Police as Director during the administration of former President Ricardo Martinelli from 2009 to 2014, as well as serving as executive secretary of the Security Council and the Ministry of the Presidency. In the private sector, he has held leadership roles in social communication and logistics, such as executive vice president and general manager of the GESE Publishing Group, new media manager at Corprensa, and general manager of Solo Container Panama. As Minister, his stated priorities include fostering favorable investment environments, supporting the private sector, and advancing international trade initiatives.
