Julius Bua Acon

Julius Bua Achon is a Ugandan politician and former middle-distance runner who currently serves as a Member of Parliament representing Otuke County. A two-time Olympian, Achon gained international recognition for his athletic achievements, including winning gold at the 1994 World Junior Championships and setting a US collegiate record in the 800 meters. Beyond his political career, he is a dedicated humanitarian and the founder of the Achon Uganda Children's Fund, an organization established to improve healthcare, education, and clean water access in Northern Uganda, notably through the Kristina Health Centre.
