Peter Aimat Lokeris is a Ugandan politician and accountant who has served as the Member of Parliament for Chekwii County in Nakapiripirit District since 1996. Throughout his long career, he held various ministerial positions in the Cabinet of Uganda, including Minister of State for Karamoja, Minister of State for Primary Education, and Minister of State for Minerals, serving in the latter capacity from 2009 until 2026. Before entering politics, he worked as a cashier, internal auditor, and administrative secretary. He is a member of the National Resistance Movement and is also known for his interest in cattle ranching.
