Jung Young-du is a South Korean politician currently serving as the 20th Mayor of Gimhae. Born in 1963, he began his career in the financial sector before entering politics through the Roh Moo-hyun administration, where he served in the Blue House as an economic policy director and innovation officer. After an unsuccessful bid for the National Assembly in 2008, he was elected Mayor of Gimhae in 2026 as a candidate for the Democratic Party of Korea. He also serves as the owner of the Gimhae FC football club.
