Jurgen van Houdt

Jurgen van Houdt is a Dutch politician and administrator who has served as the Mayor of Rijssen-Holten since March 9, 2023. Before his appointment as mayor, he was a long-time municipal councilor and alderman in Enschede, representing the ChristianUnion party. A public administration graduate from the University of Twente, he previously worked as an advisor and board secretary in the education sector. Throughout his career, he has focused on portfolios including youth and family services, education, public health, and regional security.
