Gerben Dijksterhuis

Gerben Dijksterhuis is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Borsele, a position he has held since June 2017. A member of the ChristianUnion party, he previously served as a municipal councilor and alderman in Zeewolde, where he managed portfolios including economic affairs, public space, and tourism. In addition to his mayoral duties, he was elected president of the Group of European Municipalities with Nuclear Facilities in Europe (GMF Europe) in 2023. Before entering politics, he worked in the food sector and social employment services.
