Juvenal Díaz Mateus is a Colombian politician and retired Army General serving as the Governor of Santander for the 2024–2027 term. A career military officer with 35 years of service, he previously commanded the Seventh Division of the National Army and served as director of the José María Córdova Military Cadet School. Following his retirement from the military, he entered public life and was elected governor in 2023 with a platform focused on regional security, combating corruption, and increasing the presence of security forces in the department.
