Jyoti Gaikwad

Jyoti Gaikwad is an Indian politician from Maharashtra who currently serves as a member of the 15th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Elected in 2024 to represent the Dharavi Assembly constituency, she is a member of the Indian National Congress and belongs to the Ambedkarite Buddhist community. She is the daughter of the late politician Eknath Gaikwad and the sister of MP Varsha Gaikwad. Notably, she is recognized as the only Buddhist woman MLA in the 15th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and the only woman MLA representing the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition.
