K. Chandrashekar Rao

Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao is an Indian politician serving as a Member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly for the Gajwel constituency and as the leader of the opposition in the assembly. He is the founding leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and previously served as the first Chief Minister of Telangana from 2014 to 2023. A key figure in the Telangana statehood movement, he has also held central ministerial portfolios and served in the Andhra Pradesh legislature over a decades-long political career.
