釜萢敏

Satoshi Kamayachi is a Japanese physician, medical scientist, and politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors. A graduate of Nippon Medical School, he has had a long career in pediatrics and served as a key official within the Japan Medical Association, including as Vice President. He gained national prominence for his role as a member of the government's COVID-19 advisory board and expert meetings during the pandemic. In 2025, he was elected to the House of Councillors as an organization-backed candidate for the Japan Medical Association, representing the Liberal Democratic Party.
