Kang Ki-youn is a South Korean politician and former business executive currently serving as the 5th Mayor of Changwon. Before entering politics, he worked at LG Electronics and served as the CEO of Iljin Metal. A member of the People Power Party, he previously served as a two-term member of the National Assembly representing the Seongsan-gu constituency in Changwon. He also held the position of President of Korea South-East Power from 2024 to 2026. Throughout his career, he has focused on regional economic development, industrial policy, and public health initiatives.
