Kapil Sibal

Kapil Sibal is an Indian lawyer and politician currently serving as a Member of the Rajya Sabha. A prominent Senior Advocate, he previously held several ministerial portfolios in the Manmohan Singh government, including Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, and Telecom. Educated at St. Stephen's College, Delhi, and Harvard Law School, Sibal has had a distinguished legal career, serving multiple terms as President of the Supreme Court Bar Association. Formerly a long-time member of the Indian National Congress, he transitioned to an independent role in 2022 with the support of the Samajwadi Party.
