Kara Hope is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, where she has represented the 74th district since 2023. Previously, she served as the representative for the 67th district and held the position of Ingham County Commissioner from 2013 to 2018. Before entering elected office, Hope worked as a defense attorney and served as an adjunct professor at her alma mater, Cooley Law School. She also contributed as a writer for the Ionia Daily News. She continues to be an active figure in Michigan state politics following her reelection in 2024.
