Karen Simpson

Karen Simpson is an American politician serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for District 3, representing Frederick County since 2023. A graduate of Radford University and Towson University, she holds degrees in psychology and community counseling. Simpson is a member of the House Judiciary Committee and has focused her legislative efforts on strengthening protections for domestic violence victims and advocating for environmental policies, including a transition to carbon-free electricity. She is a survivor of domestic violence and an active member of her local religious community.
