Karin Straus

Karin Straus is a Dutch politician currently serving as a member of the Senate of the Netherlands. Previously, she served as a member of the House of Representatives from 2010 to 2017, representing the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy. During her parliamentary career, she focused on social issues including child care, psychiatric care, and drug rehabilitation. Before her national political career, she held various municipal council positions in Roermond and Midden-Delfland. Straus has a background in human resource management and consultancy, having studied public administration at Radboud University Nijmegen and management studies at VU University Amsterdam.
