Karina Gould is a Canadian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Burlington since 2015. A member of the Liberal Party, she has held several high-profile cabinet positions, including Minister of Democratic Institutions, Minister of International Development, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, and Leader of the Government in the House of Commons. Gould made history as the youngest woman to serve as a federal cabinet minister and the first to give birth while in office. In 2025, she was elected chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance.
