Karl Oliver

Karl Oliver is an American politician serving as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives for District 46, representing Carroll, Grenada, Leflore, Montgomery, and Webster counties. A funeral home director by profession, he was first elected to the state legislature in 2015. Oliver is known for his conservative political stances, including his support for school choice and his vocal opposition to the removal of Confederate monuments. In 2017, he faced significant public backlash and calls for resignation following a controversial social media post regarding the removal of historical statues, for which he subsequently issued a formal apology.
