Karla Rose Hanson

Karla Rose Hanson is an American politician serving as a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives for the 44th district since 2016. A graduate of North Dakota State University, she previously held roles at Great Plains Software and Microsoft, and currently operates her own communications firm. During her legislative tenure, she served as Assistant Minority Leader from 2019 to 2021 and has focused on policy areas including paid family leave, healthcare, criminal justice reform, and economic equity. She is also a co-founder of the North Dakota Coalition for Privacy in Health Care and the Faith Forward Network North Dakota.
