Karsten Vogt

Karsten Vogt is a German politician who has served as the Lord Mayor of Bautzen since 2022. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he previously served as a member of the Bautzen City Council from 2014 to 2022, where he also chaired the CDU faction. Before entering politics, Vogt had a career in education, working as a teacher and later as the headmaster of the Philipp-Melanchthon-Gymnasium. He holds degrees in German and history and is actively involved in local civic organizations, including the Lions Club Bautzen.
