She previously served as the Minister for Family, Women, Culture and Integration of Rhineland-Palatinate from 2021 to 2026 and as Deputy Minister-President. A member of Alliance 90/The Greens, she has been active in local politics in Mainz and served as the state chair of her party from 2013 to 2017. In May 2026, she was elected as a Vice President of the state parliament.
