Kathir Anand is an Indian politician serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha, representing the Vellore constituency in Tamil Nadu. He is a member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party. Anand is the son of the prominent politician Durai Murugan, who serves as the General Secretary of the DMK and as a Minister for Water Resources in the Government of Tamil Nadu. He first entered electoral politics by winning the Vellore Lok Sabha seat in 2019, marking his debut in direct electoral performance.
