Katia Segers is a Belgian politician and academic serving as a member of the Flemish Parliament since 2014. Born in Alost in 1967, she holds a doctorate in social sciences with a specialization in communication from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where she has also served as a professor. In addition to her parliamentary duties, she has held local government roles in Liedekerke, including serving as an alderwoman for finance, culture, and communication. She is a member of the political party Vooruit (formerly Sp.a) and was appointed a Knight of the Order of Leopold in 2024.
