A member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party since 2014, she has served in various local party leadership roles and as the chair of the AfD city council faction in Lugau. Before her election to the state parliament, Dietz worked in retail, as a commercial employee in a pharmacy, and as an office manager for various parliamentary representatives. She resides in Lugau and is married to fellow AfD politician Thomas Dietz.
