Katrien Houtmeyers is a Belgian politician and businesswoman currently serving as a member of the Flemish Parliament. Born and raised in Leuven, she earned a master's degree in psychology from KU Leuven in 2003. Before entering national politics, she founded a communications company and co-owned a garden furniture store. Houtmeyers began her political career as a municipal councilor in Leuven in 2018 and subsequently served as a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish Brabant constituency starting in 2019. She was elected to the Flemish Parliament in June 2024.
