Katrin Auer is an Austrian politician and a member of the National Council, representing the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) since 2024. Born in Steyr, she holds a background in political science and history from the University of Vienna. Before her parliamentary career, she worked as a researcher, historian, and manager for various cultural and social institutions, including the Museum Arbeitswelt in Steyr. Since 2021, she has served as a city councilor in Steyr and as the district party chair for the SPÖ in Steyr City and Steyr Land. She is also actively involved in several charitable organizations, including the Steyr Women's Shelter and the Mauthausen Committee.
