Katy Clark is a British politician and life peer who currently serves as the Deputy Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament. Elected as a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for the West Scotland region in 2021, she previously served as the Member of Parliament for North Ayrshire and Arran from 2005 to 2015. A solicitor by training, Clark has been a prominent figure on the left wing of the Labour Party, known for her advocacy on trade union rights, anti-austerity measures, and human rights. She also served as a member of the House of Lords from 2020 until 2026.
