川村雄大

Yudai Kawamura is a Japanese politician and medical doctor currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Tokyo constituency. Born in Obihiro, Hokkaido, he pursued a career in medicine, graduating from Tokyo Medical and Dental University and specializing in gastrointestinal surgery. Before entering politics, he worked as a surgeon at institutions including the Tokyo Metropolitan Toshima Hospital and Nitobe Memorial Nakano General Hospital, where he gained experience in advanced robotic surgery and treated patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2025, he was elected to the House of Councillors as a candidate for Komeito, succeeding Natsuo Yamaguchi. He is committed to addressing the needs of the current generation and promoting climate change countermeasures.
