Hong Ki-won is a South Korean politician and former diplomat currently serving as a member of the 22nd National Assembly, representing the Pyeongtaek A constituency in Gyeonggi Province. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in the public sector, including serving as a diplomat in China, Romania, and Pakistan, and working as the Consul General in Istanbul. Since his election to the National Assembly in 2020, he has focused on land, infrastructure, and transport policy, as well as foreign affairs and budget oversight. He is a member of the Democratic Party of Korea and has held various leadership roles within the party, including policy committee positions and special economic advisory roles.
