Keisuke Hirose is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Neyagawa, Osaka. Born in 1970, he graduated from Meiji University and began his political career as a member of the Neyagawa City Council, where he served three terms and held the position of vice-chairman. After an unsuccessful bid for the Osaka Prefectural Assembly, he was first elected Mayor of Neyagawa in 2019 and subsequently re-elected in 2023. Known for his administrative reforms, Hirose has implemented initiatives such as a city-wide flexible work system for staff, extended municipal office hours, and innovative COVID-19 response measures including delivery-based PCR testing and a choice-based school attendance system.
