Kemal Memişoğlu

Kemal Memişoğlu is a Turkish physician, bureaucrat, and politician currently serving as the Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey. Born in 1966 in Trabzon, he graduated from the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1990 and completed his general surgery specialty training in 1995. Before his appointment to the cabinet by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in July 2024, he served as the Provincial Health Director of Istanbul from 2016 to 2024. A professor of general surgery since 2016, Memişoğlu has focused his ministerial tenure on advancing Turkey's capabilities in health technology production.
