Kenneth Tønning

Kenneth Tønning is a Danish politician serving as the Mayor of Holstebro since January 1, 2026. A member of the Venstre party, he first entered local politics as a member of the Holstebro municipal council in 2017. Before his political career, Tønning served as a sergeant in the Danish Armed Forces, including a deployment to Bosnia, and worked as an export technician and key account manager. He holds an MBA in strategic leadership and has also been involved in the software industry. He secured the mayoral position following the 2025 municipal elections with broad support from the city council.
