Kevan Jones, Baron Beamish, is a British politician and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2024. Previously, he represented North Durham as a Member of Parliament from 2001 to 2024, during which time he held roles including Minister for Veterans at the Ministry of Defence and Shadow Minister for the Armed Forces. A member of the Labour Party, Jones has been a prominent advocate for mental health awareness and has chaired the Intelligence and Security Committee. His legislative career includes the successful passage of the Christmas Day (Trading) Act 2004.
