Khanyisile Litchfield-Tshabalala is a South African politician and former Navy admiral currently serving as a member of the National Assembly of South Africa. Born in Soweto, she was a member of Umkhonto we Sizwe in exile before pursuing studies in politics, drama, and criminology at the University of Cape Town. She made history as the first woman to reach the rank of Rear Admiral (Junior Grade) in the South African Navy. Her political career includes tenures with the Economic Freedom Fighters and the United Democratic Movement, where she served as deputy president, before joining the uMkhonto weSizwe Party and winning a parliamentary seat in the 2024 general election.
