Kim Yung-rok is a South Korean politician currently serving as the Governor of South Jeolla Province. A career public servant who passed the 21st administrative examination, he previously served as a member of the National Assembly and as the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs under the Moon Jae-in administration. Throughout his career, he has held various administrative roles, including serving as the administrative vice-governor of South Jeolla Province and as a county governor. He was first elected as governor in 2018 and successfully secured re-election in 2022.
