Kira Grünberg

Kira Grünberg is an Austrian politician and former professional pole vaulter. A former national record holder in pole vaulting, she suffered a career-ending spinal cord injury during a training accident in 2015. Following her rehabilitation, she entered politics and was first elected to the Austrian National Council in 2017 as a member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). After a brief hiatus, she returned to the National Council in July 2025. She is known for her advocacy and resilience following her injury.
