岸真紀子

Makiko Kishi is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan. Born in Kurisawa, Hokkaido, she began her career as a local government employee in Kurisawa and later worked for the Iwamizawa City Office. Before entering national politics, she held significant leadership roles within the All Japan Prefectural and Municipal Workers' Union (Jichiro). First elected to the House of Councillors in 2019, she was re-elected in 2025. She is known for her background in labor activism and is affiliated with the Sanctuary group within her party.
