高島崚輔

Ryosuke Takashima is a Japanese politician serving as the Mayor of Ashiya, Hyogo Prefecture. Born in 1997, he made history in April 2023 by becoming the youngest person ever elected as a mayor in Japan at the age of 26. An alumnus of Nada Junior and Senior High School, he attended the University of Tokyo before graduating from Harvard University with a degree in environmental engineering. His political platform focuses on educational reform, including the implementation of ICT-based personalized learning, the expansion of child medical expense subsidies, and the revitalization of local community spaces.
