Kishio Ezawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Iiyama City in Nagano Prefecture. Born in 1953, he began his career as a bureaucrat in the former Administrative Management Agency and later held various positions within the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, including serving as a division director and policy researcher. After retiring from the ministry in 2010, he returned to his hometown and entered local politics. Following three unsuccessful bids for the mayoral office and a term as a member of the Iiyama City Council, he was elected Mayor of Iiyama in 2022 on his fourth attempt.
